Nolan Starts, is a dedicated and experienced legal professional with nearly 15 years of practice in the High Court of Namibia. Currently serving as the General Manager of Legal and Licensing Services at the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA), Nolan demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities and a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks.

He oversees a team of 21 professionals, ensuring strategic leadership, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. Nolan holds a B. Juris and LLB degree from the University of Namibia and has undergone extensive training in areas such as trial advocacy, commercial law, and risk management. His commitment to professional development is evident through participation in programs like the Senior Leaders Development Programme and ongoing executive coaching.

Nolan’s career path includes roles as a legal practitioner, partner at Swarts and Bock Legal Practitioners, and various positions at NAMFISA, where he has made significant contributions to anti-money laundering compliance and legal advisory services. Beyond his professional endeavors, Nolan actively engages in community and professional activities, serving as a trustee, chairperson, and lecturer.

 

His leadership extends to founding initiatives like LawyerUp Namibia and chairing the Board of the Legal Practitioners’ Fidelity Fund.
